Amy Acuna is the new science teacher for the current 6th and 7th grade class. She was born and raised in Arizona. For most of her life, she was in the valley but spent the summers in Payson as a child. She moved to Payson in 2018. Previously she worked in the hospital as a respiratory therapist but was excited to transition back to teaching. Her background in teaching is six years as a pre-k teacher. Her family are also teachers. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her daughters and dogs. She likes to hike, cook, read, and relax when she can find time for herself. She’s thankful to be welcomed in as a Longhorn.
